RECIPE - Buttermilk Crispy Fried Chicken

Marinate, Dredge, Fry, Demolish.
Our simple buttermilk crispy fried chicken is here to make your dreams come true. Perfect for a family meal or a feast with friends... once you discover the flavour of buttermilk you'll never go back!
Buttermilk has a slight acidity, which tenderises the chicken with it becoming tough and chewy! Using buttermilk also helps the chicken go nice and flaky when you dredge it through the dry mix.
Chicken of choice (skin on)
Gippsland Jersey Buttermilk
Salt & Pepper
1. Soak raw chicken (we used wings) in GJ Buttermilk and drizzle with spices (we used salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, mustard).
2. Cover with glad wrap and marinate in fridge for no more than 24 hours.
3. Dredge marinated chicken in plain flour.
4. Deep fry in sunflower oil (at roughly 175C) until golden and crispy. Drain on wire rack to maintain crispiness.
Now all you have to do is drool and demolish. Impossible to keep your fam away from this one so make a double batch!
