Sarah – Sixth-Generation Jersey Girl

Sixth-generation, third-generation on this farm which is the only metro dairy farm in Victoria/ Australia (not sure about Aus), Sarah starts every day at 4:30 am: milking 250, then racing home to wake her girls for school before heading back to the paddocks.

A few years ago, post-divorce and feeling broken, she moved home, cut a house into three pieces, trucked it onto the farm next to Mum and Dad, and started again. The dairy became her therapy: one-woman shed, no interruptions, just her and the cows healing together.

These days she's the industry's brightest spark—Young Dairy Network Chair, scholarship winner, social-media queen—flying to Wisconsin, New Zealand, anywhere that grows grass and Holsteins x Jerseys, then bringing the ideas home. She's proof the farm doesn't just feed cows; it can rebuild a person.

Evenings are for locking cows in (her sacred solo walk, listening to the seasons change) and a square of chocolate once the girls are asleep.
