Bonnie Rose - May // 2026 Mental Health Calendar

At just 18, Bonnie Ross is already the heartbeat of her family's Heath Hill dairy. Fresh out of school and having just completed her Cert III Dairy Production apprenticeship on the home farm, and now in her first year of uni studying the Bachelor of Agricultural Science. She's up before dawn milking with Dad, feeding out, and scratching her beloved heifers — all while dreaming of one day seeing "Ross Jerseys" splashed across sale catalogues.

From a little kid whose "punishment" was helping in the pit, Bonnie fell hard for Jerseys and their cheeky personalities. She's the girl who turned a handful of chooks into a 60-bird family obsession, hands out surplus eggs at church, and can often be found slinging milkshakes in the Gippsland Jersey caravan at festivals (vanilla flavour milkshake is her favourite).

Her small joy? Watching "her" heifers grow and come running for a scratch.

Her superpower? Visualising the end goal and pushing through anything to get there.

Bonnie's message to every Gippsland farmer reading this:

"Don't give up. Things will knock you down, but keep your eyes on what you want to achieve and push through. The good times go by too fast — make them count."
